Digital X-rays and Panorex

Part of your cleaning and prevention plan at our Oxford, OH dental practice involves taking X-rays of your teeth. Dr. Farmer and our team use the latest dental X-ray technology, known as digital radiography (digital X-rays), to get an in-depth look at your teeth. Using an electronic sensor, digital radiography will capture and store highly accurate digital images of your teeth.

Digital X-rays provide a faster, safer, and more comfortable process than traditional X-rays. Digital X-rays emit up to 80% less radiation than traditional X-ray film, meaning that you are completely safe at our office. Because the digital images can be viewed instantly, our dentist and dental team will be able to detect and diagnose any abnormalities and developing problems more efficiently.

We also utilize the Panorex, a panoramic digital X-ray machine. The Panorex gives us a 360-degree view of your head, teeth, bones, and sinuses. Panorex images give us the ability to detect any potential problems and make sure that everything is functioning properly, and can also be used to help us plan your treatment more effectively.
